The Daya Bay nuclear power plant in Dapeng New District, operated by the China General Nuclear Power Group (CGN), has achieved a historic national milestone by supplying over 1 trillion kilowatt-hours (kWh) of cumulative electricity to the grid, solidifying its role as a cornerstone of clean energy for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Construction on the LEGOLAND Shenzhen Resort in Dapeng New District has progressed with the completion of the roof of its largest building — Legoland Creativity World. Of the resort's planned 81 buildings, 57 are under construction. Of those, 38 have already been capped, according to a Shenzhen Special Zone Daily report recently.
China First Automobile Group Co. Ltd. (China FAW) has launched its flying car headquarters project in Dapeng New District, as reported by the iDapeng WeChat account on June 14. On June 13, Dapeng New District, together with the Shenzhen Municipal Industry and Information Technology Bureau (Shenzhen Municipal New Energy Vehicle Industry Office), the Shenzhen Municipal Transportation Bureau, and China FAW, held a signing ceremony for a cooperation framework agreement on the innovative development of the flying car industry.
